Congratulations …once you have your band and selected a name, now its time to choose your TWO songs and get practicing. Don’t forget you get BIG points for costumes and ROCK BAND stage presence so ROCK IT UP and put together the BEST Jam Band anywhere  ….

When & Where
The contest will take place in the Upper parking lot of The Vic Johnson Arena as part of the 2009 Bread & Honey festival

The contest will start Saturday June 6, 2009 @ 3pm

Finals will be held, Sunday June 7th 2009 @ 1pm

Fee

Each band will be charged a $20 entrants fee, which will include 4 tickets to the Bread & Honey festival for Saturday June 6th. Any band making it to the finals will get free tickets for Sunday as well.

Registration

Please check-in at the on-site registration booth by 2:45 pm to receive your performance time and sign waivers (a site map has been included) 

 

Waiver

All band members must sign a waiver, prior to performing and by doing so, have agreed to all the terms and conditions of the contest.  A list of the official rules is attached.

Band
Each band must consist of 4 members with one being assigned the leader.
The pre-registered band must be the band that performs.  If for some reason a band member cannot perform, the bandleader must notify the register upon arrival and substitute the original name. 

 

Songs

Each band will choose a level from Medium, Hard or Expert and choose 2 (two) songs to perform. (Rock Band 1) Both songs will be performed and judged in the semi finals Saturday June 6th starting at 3pm

Finals
The finals will be held on Sunday June 7th at 1pm. Groups will be asked to perform one of the two songs performed on the previous day. Groups will be judged on overall performance & percentages.  Winners will be awarded their prizes immediately following the competition.

Bread and Honey Tips

- It seldom rains on our parade, so don't forget your hat, sunscreen and walking shoes
- All events are accessible to strollers and wheelchairs (some events are on grass)
- Pack a damp cloth to wipe up sticky fingers after eating your FREE bread and honey
- Winding through the Festival grounds is the picturesque Credit River, so bring a blanket and enjoy
- Leave time in your day to explore the many shops and sights of Streetsville, "The Village in the City"

To make your day at the Festival more pleasant, please remember:
- Queen St. S. from Britannia Rd to Church St. is closed on Saturday from 9:00am to 12:00pm
- Church St. from Mill St. to Queen St. is closed to ALL vehicular traffic on Saturday and Sunday
